Ruffs Dale is a small unincorporated village located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated about 27 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. It is said to be named after a man named Ruff, who owned a hotel and a coal mine in the area. Today, the village is known for its historic landmarks, including the Ruffs Dale Railroad Station, which was built in 1903 and is a 2 1/2 story brick station. The village is also home to a post office, a fire department, and several small businesses.
